Discovery Channel Young Scientist Challenge Winners     New! Brendan Dwyer from Northport Middle School has been named a FINALIST in the 2005 Discovery Channel Youth Scientist Challenge!   The Discovery Channel Youth Scientist Challenge has announced 2 semi-finalists from the LISEF affiliated fair: Michael Scott Aledort, Lawrence Middle School, for his project "Diatoms as Bioindicators" and Brendan John Dwyer, Northport Middle School for his project "A Spectral Analysis of the Effects of Light Pollution on the Pennsylvania Firefly (Photuris pennsylvannicus)".
